THE 10TH ARRONDISSMENT OF PARIS BY MARINE FOURIÉ

marinefourie
Spend 24h following in the footsteps of Marine Fourié, PR manager at PR Consulting Paris, and discover the 10th district of Paris which is very much like her: cool and fun!

The secret weapon to succeed on this challenge is… a good bike!

8:00 am: If it rains, or you have zero motivation = yoga at home. If everything goes well, I go for a 45 minute swim at La Piscine Parmentier.

9:00 am: Head out to La Fontaine, the new café by Thomas Lehoux, the boss of the Brûlerie Belleville, to have my first coffee of the day. Its my favorite venue, and I might end up back here the same evening for a glass of wine, if time permits.

9:30 am: Bob’s Juice Bar, avocado/cream cheese bagel and filtered juice. I always meet up with my friend Laura there and do a mini debrief in the morning to start the day off right.

11:00 am: I go by Philippe Le Libraire (we can can find some small treasures!) then to Thanks God I’m A Vip (which is like the cave of Ali Baba – and I can spend hours there)

1:30 pm: I go to Gallina, a totally new, totally cool bar/restaurant that just opened and is run by my friends. If you love good chicken, this is the place to go: simple, effective, and just so good! Gallina becomes a neighborhood bar at night where one often runs into friends who live in the area.

3:00 pm: I head over to the Coopérative Latte Cisterino. I want to buy EVERYTHING there. EVERYTHING. Honestly!

4:00 pm: A litte trip down to Negatif +, to retrieve/deposit or buy film.

5:00 pm: After a walk along the Canal St. Martin , I stop by Du Pain et Des Idées to try out their escargot choco-pistachio – definitely worth it!

6:00 pm: I head over to Tom des Fleurs (THE best florist in Paris), where I know I’ll always leave with a perfect little bouquet.

7:30 pm: Time for a little drink at the Verre Volé (or Verre Volé sur mer), where I eat an appetizer (anything seafood with shells), and enjoy their incredible wine selection.

9:00 pm: Dinner Part 1 at Les Vinaigriers

10:30 pm: Dinner Part 2 and dessert at Vivant – this place never disappoints, it is my cantine for the night! Pierre Touitou is not just a chef, he’s a magician. The dessert here is to die for!

And the day will most certainly finish up at La Mano … where we can dance the night away.
