lise

Lise Mailman talended, creative, sophisticated and passionate entrepreneur is giving away a little bit of her everyday life and tips in all simplicity.

Hello Lise,

Who are you? What’s your background?

I am Lise Mailman, I am a multifunction artist. After my bachelor I took off to San Diego, California, where I learnt English for one year . When I came back to France, I studied communication in Bordeaux then I moved back to my homeland, Les Landes. I went from small job to small to job and I finally found my way, I started graphic design and artictic direction. After 5 years as a AD in the surf industry, I quit everything and created Ruban Collectif with 2 friends, a collective of artists dedicated to weddings. Then came along Bippity Mag, a graphic magazine with a quirky spirit about wedding organization and, the newborn, Burovelvet, our creative communication agency for professionals.

AT HOME

Where are you from? Why did you decide to leave there?

I come from Les Landes, in south of France and I live in Seignosse. I often go to Newport Beach, California, my hunsband’s hometown. We choosed to live here for the quality of life, it is so nice living here…and also, I wouldn’t see myself living elsewhere. The atmosphere is simple and friendly, no frills, everything I love ! We also live near cities like Bordeaux or Biarritz, Spain is near by, the beach is 200m away from my place and we can drive to the mountains in 2h ! What else can you ask for ?

Tell us about your routine and your favorite spots.

I take my son to school then I go to the office. We have set up a co working space in Seignosse with photographers, graphic designers, florists…. It’s very interesting and motivating to be surrounded by such creative people !

Come lunch time and with no hesitation, I go to my friend’s restaurant, Bidonvilla for its famous spring rolls and salmon terriakki !

At the end of the day, I often go for a drink with my sweetheart in Capbreton to Le Cosyvins or the Heads in Seignosse with family or friends.

What is your daily beauty routine? What are your essentials?

My daily routine is simple, a good face wash in the shower every morning and a good hydration. Same thing every night and when I wake up I can feel the difference. My skin feels soft and rested .

In the morning I always use the Daily Mircofoliant by Dermalogca and the Dynamic skin Recovery SPF50.

In the evening I take my make up off and I wash my skin with Rosa Centifolia ™ No.1 Purity Cleansing Balm fromREN Skincare and I apply a rich hydrating cream that makes my skin so soft in the morning : Super Rich repair de Dermalogica (again ! I know !)

During the week I use Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask de REN Skincare.

Do you have a family beauty or cultural secret?

Before a manucure I clean my nails with lemon and then I put a mix of brown sugar and honey on my hands, a natural and soft exfoliator. Guaranted to impress !

How do you relax?

A day at Caudalie in Bordeaux ( well, I don’t go very often but I love it there !). Between care and gastronomy, it’s a real pleasure…. Life in a bathing robe !!

Closer from us, there is San Sebastian … shopping, tapas and vino tinto !
