Let’s go to Koh Tao.
This small island of the Thailand gulf is located 70 km from the coast and represents your idea of a postcard. Dreamy beaches with coconut trees, an invitation to live accordingly to the elements: a thick jungle for the sporty kind, a transparent sea with incredible wildlife for diving and snorkeling. Unfortunately, like the rest of Thailand, Koh Tao is a victim of its own success and a relentless stream of tourists disembark from mainland every day. To enjoy the island and spend your holidays away from the crowd, set up home at Casas del Sol, a resort created five years ago by Christina Saenz de Santamaria.
From Spanish descent, born in Australia, Christina decided to give her own interpretation of the tropical luxury, combining skillfully modernity and tradition. Casas del Sol, is composed of five villas with two bedrooms each, perched on the heights of Koh Tao. They are cleverly built so they all overview the Ocean on the west coast side, and orientated so you can see the magical sunsets. Four of the five villas have a private pool on the terrace. The living room bay window gives a pleasant “inside-outside” feel, where nature and comfort collide, and the tropical climate of the island. The decoration is inspired by Fincas of the Balearic Islands, with subtle touches of Tai craft. Nathalie, the manager will give you tips and addresses and will assist you with any of your requests.
Spending your holidays at Casas del Sol is an affordable luxury. Rates start at 5 000 Thai Baht a night (approx. 124€) up to 8500 Thai Baht (approx. 210€) according to the chosen villa and the season.
