By searching well, you end up finding ! And that’s exactly what happened with A’Plum, a very muchhealthy “canteen” nestled in the neighborhood of St Philippe du Roule.
Push the door, and in an instant you will be cut off from the noise of the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honore. Cozy atmosphere, chic minimalist decoration. The displays are clean, do not overflow of products, here everything is prepared house in the morning in small quantity. The faience of green feathers a tiny art deco, “Miamiesque” warm the place all in finesse.
Behind the canteen ? Chief superstar Akrame Benallal. Two stars in the Michelin guide, a dozen establishments on the counter. This young chef of only 35 years is the next generation of French cuisine. His mentor? Pierre Gagnaire. Alain Ducasse follows his journey assiduously. Akrame Benallal is undisputedly part of the world’s most influential team.
On the menu ? Vegan or not, but gluten free. We recommend its quinoa salad, salmon gravalax as refreshing as good but let’s say our heart balance with the power sandwich chicken peanuts, a treat! The quiches of the day with smoked tofu have left some dreamers. And finally let yourself be tempted by a little greed and leave with one of the chef’s madeleines!
As the summer is on its way, all the dishes are prepared with the help of the sports preparer and dietitian Stéphane Demouy. No complexes to have, let’s go run there!
