piscineberlin

Built in 1930 by Carlo Jelkmann under the motto «  light, air, sun » then renovated in the early 90’s, Stadtbad Mitte municipal pool is a real little gem. In the heart of Mitte ( a neighbourhood in the center of Berlin), Stadtbad Mitte , jewel of Bauhaus architecture, with its simplicity, its materials like steel or even glass, its straightforward and extremely clean design, is an outstanding place.

With a 12m high ceilings, its roof made of glass, its bright mosaic that covers floors and walls, its 50m basin fills with light, Stadtbad Mitte is much more than a simple pool, it’s a piece of art.

On the first floor you will find the gym and a spacious cloakroom with huge windows with a view over the pool.

Whether you feel like working out or just wanting to relax or even just out of curiosity, you must have a look at this architectural gem, I am sure you will like it !
